These two posters were commissioned for a client who wanted a portrait and was fond of Marilyn Monroe. The color combinations were based on the combinations used in the famous Warhol prints.

A motorcycle racing group that was easy to please asked for a logo using a skull and cross bones. I had the idea that we could use the top of the skull to feature their individual racing numbers as opposed to the traditional numbers on the back of a jersey.

These are some of the samples I did for this client who was selling hand-crafted hair weaves. This only features 5 of about 15 variations of logos I did for this client.

A shirt design commissioned to promote Music in Nashville (as if there weren't enough of them already). It's loosely based on the Jack Daniel's logo.

Local sports team samples I did at the beginning of my career.

The poster was commissioned by Fashion Week committee and is based on a beautiful black and white photograph they used in other promotions for the event. This was actually supposed to function as a sample piece, but they liked it and settled on this for the final design.

This graphic was used for a local high school basketball team.

This graphic was created for a music producer in Nashville. The font was hand drawn based on the client's handwriting.

This is a commissioned piece for a local fraternity. I think it was used to promote some sort of sports team. I like elephants.

The idea was to manipulate positive and negative areas to form the shape and texture of the rhino without using any line work.

This was created as a possible design for an education-focused charity, but wound up being used as a shirt design in house.

These are logo samples made for the Titan Staffing company, who I have worked with to develop their brand. They wound up choosing the second logo on the second row. I've also developed t-shirts and business cards for their company.

This drawing is based on a real-life photo of the self described "Super Yogi" who can suspend himself using only one finger on each hand. In the original picture he used a simple pull-up bar, so he requested something more grandiose for his t-shirt.

These are sample logos for a budding fashion designer in Nashville. The Client gave fairly little to go on, just requested something eye-catching. She would eventually choose a variation on the second logo on the top row.

Barz Major is a rapper in Nashville who requested a series of logos for himself and his album. These samples represent his concepts.

These samples were done for a local construction company. They requested something using a hard hat, but otherwise were not specific. Their final logo was a variation on the second design from the top.

As part of an ongoing project with Legacy Ink, these are sample logos for St. Patrick's Day bar promotions. They are generic layouts so any bars who are interested can plug their name and information in and get a quick, personalized logo.

This was the first design I did for Smoke Token (a hemp shop in Murfreesboro TN), based on the beautiful Art Nouvea work done by Alphonse Mucha for JOB rolling papers. The owners of Smoke Token wound up going with a completely different logo I would design after doing this piece, that I didn't like nearly as much.

This was a complete menu redesign I did for the Silver Sands Cafe. All of the illustrations were hand-drawn and specific to menu items.

Mic came in and asked for a logo based on the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign (originally designed by Betty Willis).

Liz is a very talented seamstress whom I've had the pleasure to work with on many occasions. Shown are different versions of the website I designed for her.

The client requested an illustration of her cat based on the iconic Kill Bill poster. The cat's name is Beatrix, named after Uma Thurman's character.

Coming soon to Nashville, these are the samples I provided the client based on instructions to use fruit and tornado imagery. They chose number 1.

The client was an aspiring musician who wanted to promote a positive message. He requested a turntable set-up that spelled out "HOPE" and I just ran with it.

Heavy D is a personal trainer who specializes in body building. He was very specific about what he wanted for his logo.

Concept Designs:

Franky is an illustration I did years ago that was recently turned into a shirt in a collaboration with Unscripted. To purchase this shirt go to: Legacy Ink Website.

One of my first projects for Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), the concept and illustration were mine but the font choices were loosely based on previous MTSU graphics.

I do a lot of logo work for local sports teams. Blackman wound up using a few of these for promotions and T-shirts.

Based on old, Germanic wood block prints, this was designed for Legacy Ink. The clothing line "Lovers & Fighters" has several of my designs. This one, I think I like the most.

Band Logo

Being in close to Nashville, I do often work with musicians, sometimes at the begining of their careers. Out of these samples, they liked number 5 the most.

Event Logo

Love Noise is a festival hosted by Questlove of the Roots. My friends at Legacy Ink got me in contact with the event directors. This was my original drawing which was used in fliers, t-shirts, and posters for the event that year.
